Binh Thuan consists of 192 km of coast with many inshore islands, beautiful reef, head rock. Along with a topography of hill, mountain, plain that make many romantic natural landscapes, Binh Thuan has also many old pagodas, temples of Viet people, ancient towers of champa people and Le Hong Phong magnanimous base.
Cultural – historic relics:
Binh Thuan is home to many cultural – historic – ancient architectural relics including temples like Xuan An temple (Cho Lau, Bac Binh), Xuan Hoi temple (Cho Lau, Bac Binh), Duc Thang temple (Duc Thang – Phan Thiet), Duc Nghia temple (Duc Nghia- Phan Thiet), Phu Hoi temple (Ham Hiep – Ham Thuan Bac), Tu Luong temple (Duc Long – Phan Thiet), Binh An temple (Binh Thanh – Tuy Phong). Furthermore, there is also the house where Nguyen Thong lived with Ngoa Du Sao (Duc Nghia – Phan Thiet) and his tomb in Co mountain (Phu Hai – Phan Thiet). All those ancient buildings are very attractive to visitors, history – culture researchers coming for visit.
Cultural – historic relic of champa people’s ancient architecture:
Champa tower is not studied much in aspect of history, secrets in architectural techniques. Champa towers, temples in Binh Thuan place many questions to domestic and foreign researchers like Po Dam towers (Phu Lac – Tuy Phong), PoShainu towers – temple (Phu Hai – Phan Thiet), ruins of Champa tower in Kim Binh (Ham Thang – Ham Thuan Bac), recently found champa towers in Ham Phu, Thuan Hoa (Ham Thuan Bac).
As for temple: Po Klong Moh Nai temple (Luong Son – Bac Binh), collection of Champa royal cultural relics and Po Nit temple (Phan Hiep – Bac Binh), Bang Tranh princess temple (Long Hai – Phu Quy). Moreover, there is also stronghold system like vestige in Luong Son village (Bac Binh) considered as champa people’s military architecture work.
Famous landscape and faith:
Almost everywhere in Binh Thuan, there is beautiful landscape, in which pagodas as quiet place for Buddha worshiping, combined with original natural landscape that contributes to make many attractive landscape to visitors. Architectural, decorative art in statue, relief, etc. are still intact up to date. An important part making relic of culture, beautiful landscape in Binh Thuan are pagodas like Co Thach pagoda also called cave pagoda (Binh Thanh – Tuy Phong), Ta Cu mountain pagoda (Thuan Nam, Ham Thuan Nam), Ling Son pagoda (Vinh Hao – Tuy Phong), Ong pagoda (Duc Nghia – Phan Thiet), Phat Quang pagoda (Hung Long – Phan Thiet), etc. As for folk faith, there are Thim master palace (Tan Tien, La Gi), Van Thuy Tu (Duc Thang – Phan Thiet), Van An Thanh (Tam Thanh - Phu Quy), tomb of Sir Southern Sea, etc. as for beautiful landscape, it is to mention the prince’s palace (Phu Hai – Phan Thiet) even remains some traits, the landscape is not like palace of old time.
Traditional – historic places and return-to-the-root tourist:
Type of return-to-the-root tourist is aim to evoke, educate all generations, especially young generation of Binh Thuan people’ revolutionary resistance tradition. To serve this type of tourist, there area Ho Chi Minh museum – Binh Thuan branch, Duc Thanh school – Phan Thiet, resistance base in Nam Son, Dong Giang (Ham Thuan Bac), Bac Ruong, Lo O (Tanh Linh), Le Hong Phong area, Bau Trang (Bac Binh).
Sea tourism:
Binh Thuan coast has many islands like Cau island, Rom island, Ba island and offshore there’s a Thu island (Phu Quy island) with small islands around. In mainland, there are Tien spring (Vinh Hao spring), Ong Dia stone, wonderful beaches like Rang, Thuong Chanh, Doi Duong, Bai Sau Mui Ne, nganh Tam Tan, Hoa Thang, Khe Ga, etc. very convenient for sea bath, kite, water-skiing.
Green tourism:
This type of tourism is attractive, may attract more and more visitors to following spots: Vinh Hao mineral water spring, Da Kai spring (Duc Linh), Thac Ba or unexploited spring like Van Lam, Tan Thuan (Ham Thuan Tan). As for lake, there is Lac sea – Ong mountain with natural protection wood, Bau Trang with immense lotus lake at the foot of sand cave, Quao river lake with old time base wood, or Kreo fall, stone pitching dam (Ham Tan).
Modern landscape:
Da Mi – Ham Thuan hydroelectricity plant operates shall a form of general tourism in a closed route. From Phan Thiet, head to the south, arrive at Tan Thuan warm spring, climb Ta Cu mountain, Dien – Khe Ga headland, Thim master palace, Tam Tan, La Gi, ba island, up to Tanh Linh, then Lac sea – Ong mountain, then Bac Ruong, up to Da Mi – Ham Thuan, down to resistance base in Nam Son, Dong Giang, then down to Quao river lake, the by Ham Phu, Thuan Hoa to visit ruins of Champa ancient tower, then Phan Thiet.
