  Mineral resources

Binh Thuan consists of various types of minerals: gold, wolfram, lead, zinc, mineral water and other non-mineral resources. In which, of commercial and industrial value is mineral water, clay, building stone.

-        Mineral water: many places of available mineral water like Vinh Hoa (Tuy Phong), Da Kai (Duc Linh), Dong kho (Tanh Linh), Van Lam, Ham Cuong, Tourist area Kou (Ham Thuan Nam), Phong Dien (Ham Tan). Especially at 4 places: Vinh Hao, Van Lam, Ham Cuong, Da Kai where there is mineral water containing sodium carbonate used for drinking water, workability of approx. 300 million liters/year. Mineral water in Tuy Phong is eligible for algae production in large quantity.

- Reserves in limonite placer is 1.08 million tons, Zircon 193 thousand tons, along with large amount in rare soil. Content in TiO2 is 43- 45%, content in ZrO2 is 48, 6 - 59, 5%.

Zircon – limonite placer is distributed in Ke Ga foreland (Ham Thuan Nam), Mui Ne (Phan Thiet), Tan Thien (Ham Tan), Thien Ai (Bac Binh). Largest source of mineral resource of Binh Thuan is glass white sand with total reserves of 496 million cub. m of level P2, content in SiO2: 97- 99%. Distributed in Dinh Thay, Tay An, Tan Thang (Ham Tan), Cay Tao, Long Thinh, Hong Son (Ham Thuan Nam), Nhon Thanh, Phan Ri and Phan Ri Thanh (Bac Binh). It can meet the requirements in production of high-grade glass and civil glass  or export of material.

Building mineral consists of hassock for 3.9 million cub. m of level P2 distributed in Vinh Hao and Phuoc The (Tuy Phong), coral limestone (Tuy Phong). Tilt, brick clay is distributed in many places (Ham Thuan Nam, Duc Linh, Tanh Linh, Bac Binh). Building and decorative stone in Ta Kou (Ham Thuan Nam) consists of reserves of 45 million cub. m, Nui Nhon (Ham Tan) with reserves at level P of 30 million cub. m.
